Our annual Butterfly Effect is a heartwarming family event that touches the lives of everyone in the Alberni Valley.

Release a butterfly for fun, or in memory of a loved one.

Everyone is welcome.

The event is family friendly and includes free kids' activities, free face painting, live music, a bbq by donation and more!

Join us at 11th Avenue Park (beside our community office at 2579 10th Ave) on Saturday, June 22, 2024!

Event runs 11:30am-1:30pm

Butterfly pickup starts at 12:15pm

Release at 12:30pm

Please note that butterflies will not be held after the release.

Butterflies cost $25 each, with all proceeds directly supporting AVHS.

Butterflies are available at our community office (2579 10th Ave, Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm), by phone at 250-723-4478, and online (albernihospice.ca).

Jim's Clothes Closet has also once again sponsored a number of butterflies so that anyone in the community can participate at no cost!
