The Butchart Gardens' summer festival presents ZarYevka Ballet performing modern and classical ballet.
This open-air concert takes place on the Concert Lawn stage. Come sit on a bench, or bring a blanket and sit on the lawn.
The summer entertainment program is part of your general admission ticket. There is no extra charge for lovely evenings on the Concert Lawn or for Firework Saturdays.
About ZarYevka Ballet
ZarYevka Ballet was formed in Victoria, British Columbia, in 2011 to produce new works rooted in the classical aesthetic. Director and choreographer Capri Aspe places great importance on musicality and comprehensible narrative, seeking to illustrate and expand on the theme of the composer to deliver a powerful experience to audiences. ZarYevka Ballet's recent full-length works include the coming-of-age story Peter & the Wolf, the film-noir styled Thief on 42nd Street, a mixed repertoire evening commissioned for the Butchart Gardens, and a Vancouver Island School Tour.
