Buckman Coe has spent most of 2012 on the road promoting his recent album 'By The Mountain's Feet.' The last weekend in September finds him on Vancouver Island and looking forward to playing his first show in Coombs at the Soundgarden.

Buckman Coe delivers a worldbeat concoction of sun-sweetened folk, down-home Americana and soul-drenched roots & reggae. He carries on the work of his elders and idols, receiving comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Marvin Gaye and Bob Marley due to the timber, spirit and timeliness of his message.

The year Buckman Coe formed his band they were voted Second Best Unsigned Band in the Georgia Straight Reader's Choice Awards. The band features Brian Minato on bass & guitar, Michael Rush on upright, Tyson Naylor on keyboards, Jon Roper on electric guitar, and Sam Cartwright on drums. Buckman plays an array of instruments including guitar, ukulele, banjo, accordion and kalimba. Together and with the help of friend and producer, Jason Kechely, they are exploring evolutionary blends of soul music.

On March 20th, 2012 Buckman released his sophomore album 'By the Mountain's Feet' through Tonic Records and Fontana North. The album has been heard on Canadian radio, reaching #4 on the earshot charts in Newfoundland, CBC, and into the US in California, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. While touring the album across Canada this past spring, Buckman and band road-tested new material that will appear on the EP �Crow's Nest� scheduled for release this fall.
