Bruno's Bullhead Fishing Derby for under-12s

Free and fun event for youngsters 2 to 12, organized by the Kiwanis Club of Nanaimo Sunrisers for the 33rd year!
There are prizes for the longest, the shortest and the ugliest bullhead. There are also lucky draw prizes for all registered youngsters. Must be present to receive a prize.
Registration starts at 9.30 am. Fishing starts at 10 am and closes at noon. Prizes given out from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm.
Every youngster must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
Fishing is from the Brechin Ramp docks.
Youngsters must wear a life vest at all times on the dock. Use your own or we have a limited supply for loan.
Use your own rod or we have fishing poles for loan. Barbless hooks must be used.
Free hot-dog and drink for each registered entrant.
The Nanaimo Fire Service will be present and maybe a fire truck.
Marine Search and Rescue will bring a really fun exhibit that has been a great hit in recent years.
Nanaimo River Hatchery will have an exhibit.
Please park on the edges of the parking area so as not to interfere with boat trailers.
