Who can resist tapping a toe to a rollicking reel, feeling a sense of warmth with a Celtic love ballad, or fighting back a tear on hearing a haunting lament on the pipes? It is music that touches people. It has a long history, and though it remains true and connected to its tradition, it seems to re-invent itself and rise anew constantly.
