Bridges International Women Day Luncheon

On March 8, 2012, Bridges for Women is hosting its second annual International Women�s Day (IWD) Luncheon. Building on last year�s success, we are hoping to attract over 150 attendees to this event and raise $10,000 by involving as many businesses, organizations and individuals as possible. All funds raised will directly support programming at Bridges. We are well on our way to achieving our goal with over $6,000 in sponsorships received already!

This year�s speaker is Maureen Maloney, QC, the first woman Dean of Law in British Columbia and currently Professor at the School of Public Policy, Simon Fraser University. Previous to her current role, Professor Maloney served as the Chair in Law and Public Policy and Director of the Institute for Dispute Resolution at the University of Victoria; Deputy Minister to the Attorney General; and Deputy Attorney General of the Province of British Columbia. She is, and has been, actively involved in international governance, dispute resolution and human rights projects in South-East Asia, Iraq, China, Brazil, Guatemala and South Africa.
