We are excited to announce the 9th annual International Women’s Day luncheon taking place on March 8, 2019 at the Union Club in Victoria BC. Attracting over 200 attendees, this fundraising event brings inspiring speakers and networks together for the empowerment of women. Join us on March 8th for an inspiring gathering for women and men, with keynote speakers, networking opportunities, a delicious lunch, and solidarity for women’s empowerment.

Keynote speakers panel includes:

• Laura Poland (General Manager at Mayfair)

• Sybil Verch (Senior Vice President, National Director, Wealth Management, Raymond James Ltd.)

• Penny Sakamoto (Black Press/Monday Magazine)

The panelists will share some key strategies they used to overcome obstacles, achieve success, and balance all the roles they hold, as well as share some of the projects they are championing, and will be available for Q&A from the audience. Robin Farrell from Ocean 98.5 will be hosting this event.

Fundraising activities at the event directly support women impacted by violence and trauma by sustaining healing, education, and employment programs at Bridges for Women. These programs are essential in ending the cycle of violence, poverty and isolation for women in Greater Victoria and across BC.
