Brenna MacQuarrie will be live at the Dinghy Dock Pub!
Brenna is an Edmonton indie R&B artist , who is also a songwriter for Ultra Music and a dueling piano player at the Red Piano. Brenna's style has been described and down tempo-electro-pop-soul and her smooth smokey vocals and songs of vulnerability, heartbreak and disillusionment are moving. Brenna's debut album and Canadian tour was in 2011 with HYBRID. In 2014 under the name BMBSHL Brenna released her next album of the same name and received the 2015 Edmonton Electronic Recording of the Year and a nomination for the 2015 Western Canadian Electronic/Dance Recording of the Year. From that album, the song STRIKE got carried on radio stations in the USA, and was used in an American film.
Now under the name HILL Brenna will very soon be releasing a new album GIVE IT A REST. We had a sneak peek with the release of her first song Beckon (Run) in the spring featuring a video filming Brenna in an isolated fish tank in rural Northern Alberta. This aired on Entertainment Tonight Canada and received more than 80,000 views on Facebook.
