Book Launch Party for exciting new children's book

Local author Janice August Bailey has published her first children’s book entitled “Baboons with Bassoons”.  Stunning coloured illustrations by local artist David Thrasher support the fun rhyming poetry of this book about an unusual animal and an uncommon instrument.

Come and Help celebrate the book release on April 14 at the Little Red Church in Comox. Children attending the event can listen as local improve story-teller Taryn Goodwin reads the book at intervals between 2:15 and 3:30. Balloons for the kids and the harp stylings of Chardaye Castel will round out the event.

David Thrasher will have some of his art on display. Between 3:00 and 3:45, a local bassoonist will have her instrument on hand for show and tell. Come out, buy a book, support local talent, and meet the author and illustrator.
