Bob Log III with Awkward AC and the Behaviours
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Log III is the natural heir to the blues throne that the like of Robert Johnson, Elmore James or Magic Sam once occupied. He is as rambunctious and manic as Jimi Hendrix was when destroying stages across America during his brief and incendiary tours.
He is a one man tour de force. Bob Log III rose from the ashes of the highly influential lo-fi blues garage duo Doo Rag. Their fame had them opening for the likes of Sonic Youth, Beck, The Cramps, Jon Spencer and the legendary R.L. Burnside. With the demise of Doo Rag in 1996, Log III decided to go it alone. He quickly assembled a drum kit that allowed him carry on as a one man band and has never looked back. He’s toured constantly with a faithful following around the world. His stage show is over the top as he appears in a jumpsuit with a visor clad motorcycle helmet complete with built in microphone. The frenetic pace of his playing created an urban myth as the famous Mississippi blues label Fat Possum issued a press release that declared Bob Log III had his hand replaced with a monkey’s paw. Intrigue into the digit grew until Log III was forced to come clean. "My hand is just hairy. Very, very hairy. It is NOT a paw. Fat Possum was drunk." Over the last decade and a half Bob Log III has immortalized himself with blues fans, punk rockers and the DIY nation that learned you can do anything you want with just a little effort. He has a string of hits including his party anthem “Boob Scotch”, “String on A Stick” and “I Want Your Sh*t On My Leg”
