The Boating Basics provides you with the opportunity to prepare for your Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) exam.
It is the only PCOC recognized by both the CDN and U.S. Coast Guard. In addition it is also approved and recognized by the U.S. National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBL).
The Boating Essentials picks up where Boating Basics leaves off and offers instruction in navigation, charting, plotting and an introduction to electronic navigation. It teaches you to use your compass to plot your course and navigate to your desired destination. The course covers all the basics you should have before venturing out on the water. It is recommended for anyone who holds a PCOC licence, to complete their basic training.
