Bloomin': new works by BC emerging ceramic artists
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Bloomin’ is a group exhibition featuring the work of emerging ceramic artists in Victoria and throughout BC. As a group of 18 artists we each have differing personal motivations to produce art. Together we want to celebrate the scope of possibilities of the ceramic discipline and improve the visibility of ceramic artists. We are energized by the quality and diversity of work being produced by the growing group of local ceramicists, and we want to invite the community to enjoy the abundance with us.
Group Bio:
The 18 participating artists are Bronwyn Arundel, Zoë Brisebois-Bourget, Amelia Butcher, Bridget Fairbank, FP Ceramics, Angela Hopkins, Meg Hubert, Kate Kennedy, Sarah Leckie, Heather Lepp, Marita Manson, Munbeibi, Amanda Marie, RAMCHILD, Rogue Ceramics, Kendra Shaw, Léïa-Fahé Villeneuve, and Kate Wood. All artists work in BC, most in the realm of functional ceramics. The group has a diverse educational background, with some holding degrees in ceramic art, and others being self taught.
