Block Printing, Stencilling & Monoprinting with Natural Dyes

In this three-day workshop, you will study the relationship between natural dyes, fibre and pattern. You will make and apply natural dyes to silk scarves and yardage using block printing, stencilling and monoprinting techniques.
The workshop will cover colour and design theory as applied to printing. You will create block prints and stencils and work with a carefully selected collection of found objects as tools for creating pattern. You will have ample opportunity to play with colour and pattern, making a collection of samples before committing to a personal colour scheme and pattern for a cohesive four-piece collection of scarves and yardages.
No experience necessary.
