Blackwork Embroideryis a traditional embroidery technique that was often used to add geometric and floral embellishments to the affluent classes’ clothing in Spain and England. Today, Blackwork is used as a unique way to shade realistic embroidery projects using black thread and a counted thread technique. You will be learn some common Blackwork embroidery patterns, and how to create your own patterns as you make a stitch sampler to prepare for larger Blackwork projects. Suitable for beginners.
