Black Angus is all about Gareth Hurwood and the music he has developed in his repertoire over many years. His talent, humour and experience provide a fresh approach to the folk genre, specializing in music from Ireland, the UK, Canada and the United States, along with original compositions in the traditional style. Gareth is musically supported in this endeavour by Alexander MacCuaig on acoustic bass and Sarah Tradewell on fiddle.
Black Angus' show has a high level of energy and great stage presence that is instantly communicated to their audiences. The band is devoted to great songs which, combined with their own sheer enjoyment of the music, fuels their powerful performance.
