BACKGROUNDER: The Tidesmen are the leading male a cappella chorus on Vancouver Island and one of the premier choruses in the Pacific Northwest. Our music features the ringing chords of beautifully blended harmony and our repertoire encompasses Broadway Standards, The American Song Book, Rock and Roll, medieval hymnals, inspirational songs, and Barbershop favourites.

The award-winning Tidesmen chorus holds its annual Spring show in Nanaimo’s Port Theatre and at other venues in the mid-Island. Christmas concerts are also performed in both Nanaimo and Oceanside.

As part of our community service, The Tidesmen supports the important work of Nanaimo’s Child Development Centre. The Tidesmen acknowledge and thank the City of Nanaimo for its support through a Culture and Heritage grant.
