Calvin Dyck, concert master for the Vancouver Island Symphony in Nanaimo, is no stranger to this area. He has given many concerts in Black Creek over the years, sometimes featuring young artists, sometimes telling of his own heritage journey, and always filling the air with the most beautiful sounds a bow and strings could ever imagine.
Since the Black Creek Community was unable to host a relief fair for the Mennonite Central Committee this year, other options to raise funds came to light. And so it is that we say many thanks to Calvin Dyck for stepping up to put on a benefit concert, raising funds for MCC .
