Beginner Clog Dance/Step Dance for Home Learners, Adults & Seniors

All beginner Clog Dance/Step Dance classes will be taught in socially distant line formations and the steps will be reviewed each Wednesday. The weekly beginner lessons are lively, gentle and as Covid-safe as possible. A partner can be fun to have but is not necessary for these toe-tappin' classes with no-hand-holdin'.

Great fun and laughter while you work on your fitness goals. The jingle taps can be glued easily to most low-heel street shoes (not sticky runners with grip) and new jingle taps will be available from the instructor each class. It is optional, but not necessary to purchase the standard, somewhat expensive, white clog dance shoes, although, each year, a few participants do prefer to go that route. Music for every taste such as Celtic, Country, Swing, Broadway and Canadian.

Please bring a mask, a water bottle the ,$5 cash drop-in lesson fee and a smile to Qualicum Beach Community Hall each Wednesday....and if you are not well, please stay home. Suitable for Adults, Seniors, Singles, Youth and calm, regulated Home Learners 12+. In the second and third year of clogging, if interested, participants may choose to do group dances for local small festivals and seniors homes. If participants are not interested in those outings, come along anyway and enjoy these fun filled clog dance classes.

Due to the pandemic, participants are asked to depart the hall promptly at 1:00 pm so the Intermediate class can be as Covid-safe as possible for their Clogging Class. Once the pandemic is over, participants may linger, watch and join the intermediate classes.
