Did you know that Vancouver Island University is the very first designated Bee Campus in British Columbia? https://beecitycanada.org/become-a-bee-campus/current-bee-campuses/. This is something to celebrate! This event will include a Pollinator Workshop in the Community Peace Garden led by local bee experts, followed by a celebration of what it means to be a Bee Campus, including some words from representatives of the Master of Community Planning Program, the Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Region Research Institute and Bee City Canada. Light refreshments included. What: A celebration of VIU's Bee Campus designation. Come learn about the importance of pollinator-friendly habitat's at VIU's Nanaimo campus!
