Beauty of Waste - a show of new collages

Tuesdays - Saturdays, 11 AM - 5 PM. The opening reception for this show is Sunday June 30th, 1:30 PM - 4 PM.

The collages in this exhibition have be created by local artist, Agnes Ananichuk, utilizing the waste products of her print-making processes - proofs and misprints. The materials are cut into strips which are juxtaposed with strips from a different work and glued to a surface that has a geometrical layout. The resulting piece is an abstraction that is colourful and complex. Other pieces that are created use random small pieces glued to create a realistic scene. The whole piece of paper is used to create other pieces of art.
