The 50 Years,100 Acres celebrations continue with performances by the Cowichan Pipe and Drum Band, dance troupes, music and celebration cakes compliments of Save On Foods!
“We’re really excited to be reaching this milestone for the BC Forest Discovery Centre and to be presenting the history of how we came to be" says the BCFDC’s Museum Curator, Jenna Charles. “This exhibit is a fantastic opportunity for our visitors, members, and the local community to see how we began and have grown through the 50 years. It is with thanks to Wellburn's, and the continued support of the business community, the Cowichan residents, tourists, and memberships that we are here to today. So as much as we celebrate the museum this year, we celebrate and thank them".
The '50 Years,100 Acres' Exhibit will be open to the public starting June 4th and will run throughout the summer until September.
