BC Book Prize finalists are hitting the road for events throughout the province. Two finalists will visit communities on Vancouver Island April 27 to 30. They are:
Jeff Steudel, Foreign Park (Anvil Press)
Shortlisted for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize
Caroline Woodward, Light Years: Memoir of a Modern Lighthouse Keeper (Harbour Publishing)
Shortlisted for the Bill Duthie Booksellers’ Choice Award
BC book lovers are invited to meet these award-nominated members of the BC literary community at these free public events:

Saturday, April 30, 2016 | VICTORIA
12:00 PM | Munro’s Books | 1108 Government Street

Authors will also visit students at elementary and high schools in Chemainus, Lake Cowichan, Port Alberni, and Qualicum Beach.

The 32nd annual Lieutenant Governor’s BC Book Prizes Gala will be held at Government House in Victoria on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Winners in all seven categories will be announced and the recipient of the 2016 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Literary Excellence, Alan Twigg, will be celebrated.
British Columbia’s Lieutenant Governor, the Honourable Judith Guichon, will be in attendance. Gregor Craigie will host.
