Bananafish Dance Orchestra, The New Groovement and The Ponderosas are teaming up to give us a full night of Latin, jazz, funk, reggae, and ska at Upstairs Cabaret. Bananafish Dance Orchestra have established themselves as Vancouver Island�s number one choice for high-quality music that gets people of all-ages dancing. All members of the band are enrolled or have already graduated from Nanaimo�s VIU with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and are deeply involved in promoting Vancouver Island�s musicians. This show is also in promotion for their latest album, Rampage.
Joining the group will be Victoria�s The New Groovement and The Ponderosas from Vancouver. The New Groovement are an 11-piece group that blends together the brightest elements of hip-hop, funk, and and R&B. This up-and-coming group have quickly made a name for themselves and offer a party you don�t want to miss. The Ponderosas are a soulful blend of reggae and soul. This Vancouver group has worked with Natural Flavas, The Boom Booms, and Rude City Riot.

This will be a perfect mix of beautiful music, wonderful people, and a full dance floor.
