Balfour's Friends Foundation Fundraiser takes place at the Mary Winspear Centre on Saturday, September 21, 2013. This event includes the Firefighter & Friends Calendar release, music, dancing, silent auction, cash bar and appetizers.

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased in person at the Mary Winspear box office, online at www.MaryWinspear.ca or by phone at 250-656-0275.

Purchase a table of 8 and be automatically entered into one of two draws for transportation for your table to and from the event (areas covered include Westshore, the Greater Victoria area, and the Saanich Peninsula). Draw date will be September 1, 2013.

Established in 2012 by a group of pet owners, the Balfour's Friends Foundation aims to assist people in need by subsidizing the cost of veterinary care for their sick or injured pets. The foundation is non-profit and relies on donations to support pet owners. At this time we are still fundraising to get the foundation off the ground in order to accomplish our goals.

The purpose of the Balfours Friends Foundation is:

(a) To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income there from time to time, for charitable purposes and to provide veterinary medical and support services to companion animals in the care of persons of low income

(b) To assist persons who are incapacitated or hospitalized with the care of their pets; and

(c) To raise money to fulfill the purposes of the society.
