Beban Park Auditorium will be the site for the first annual Autism Expo. The inaugural theme for this free family-friendly event is Live, Laugh, Learn and the Autism BC�s Nanaimo Chapter�s goal is to assist people affected by autism and other developmental related disabilities to find local resources, community support services and connect with other families affected by autism. The event has been organized by Leadership Vancouver Island�s team TrailBlazers as part of their volunteer project and coincides with Autism Awareness Month. Over 35 exhibitors with Autism related products or services, including children's musician Rick Scott, Nanaimo Association for Community Living and the Nanaimo Child Development Centre.
