Humorist Judy Millar is an award-winning writer whose book "Beaver Bluff: The Librarian Stories" (Brannen Publishing) has been called a whimsical, witty and wacky collection of stories for those who love to laugh by thirty-year library staffer and author, Lois Peterson, and a rollicking and ribald account of life behind the Circulation Desk by author Susan Juby. However, Millar suggests, with a twinkle, that her librarians aren't like any you're likely to meet locally. Drop by to find out why!
Nanoose Bay poet Pat Smekal has been writing prize-winning poetry since 2003, and has been widely published across Canada. Pat will be reading from her latest book, "Small Corners," (Ascent Aspirations Publishing) which features poems about people who have touched her life in special ways each, a snapshot within which we may discover fleeting delicacies or small passing disasters of human experience.
Do make note of the date, as the readings are sure to be both entertaining and inspiring!
