Mary Ann Moore will be reading from her book, "Fishing for Mermaids," and will be providing tips and ideas on writing at the Harbourfront Library. Mary Ann Moore, a poet, writer and writing mentor, lives in Nanaimo. Her first full-length book of poetry is Fishing for Mermaids (Leaf Press, 2014). Mary Ann’s poetry has been published in several chapbooks, on CD and in Poems from Planet Earth (Leaf Press, 2013), Carousel, FreeFall, Room, and Vallum. Mary Ann offers various writing circles in Nanaimo including Writing Life, a six-week women’s circle, and Poetry as a Doorway In, one-day circles at Bethlehem Retreat Centre.
