Author Matthew Kalkman talks about "New Liberalism"

Discussion Topic: Author Matthew Kalkman will discuss the evolution of liberal democracy and society�s responsibility toward future generations. He will present his concept of "timeless freedoms" and apply them to Canada in a rapidly changing world. He will touch on the topics of globalization, climate change, the UN�s responsibility to protect and the Omnibus Crime Bill C-10.

Biography: Author Matthew Kalkman's new book is called "New Liberalism and is published by Granville Island Publishing. He has an LL.B from Durham University and an Msc. from the London School of Economics (LSE). He represented LSE as a delegate at the 2009 UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. His writings on the responsibility to protect and the financial crisis have been published by the Cambridge Student Law Review and the Inter Alia Law Journal.

Members of the general public are invited to attend. This is a free non-partisan event.
