Assessing Risks in Non Profit Organizations
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
From trip hazards to funding shifts, organizations face all types of possible scenarios that have various levels, impacts, and frequency of risk. While we informally manage and mitigate risk in our everyday lives, organizations need tools and processes to help identify, assess, communicate, and mitigate risk.
In this workshop for staff, volunteer managers, senior managers, and board members, participants will learn how to identify and assess risk by using simple tools and real life case studies from non profit organizations.
Workshop Facilitator:
Lisa Mort-Putland has been the Executive Director at Volunteer Victoria since 2011. Lisa facilitates the online courses Foundations in Volunteer Management and Governance: Building Better Boards, and the Grant Writing 101 and Governance 101 workshops for Volunteer Victoria. Lisa holds a B.A in Drama and Master's Degree in Pubic Administration and works with organizations to strengthen their volunteer management and governance practices.
