Are you looking for options for your children’s education? If so, chances are, you are not alone. Aspengrove is a leading junior kindergarten to grade 12 independent school teaching the world-renowned international baccalaureate curriculum in all grades. In fact, there are only 10 schools in all of Canada authorized to do so.
From small classes, to motivated students, to an atmosphere where all students feel accepted and supported by their peers, Aspengrove has much to offer for families looking for a change. At Aspengrove School we have been receiving a number of inquiries from families looking for options for their children's educaiton. These families are looking to see if an independent school is available as an option for their families. There is. We are hosting an information evening where we will share information about Aspengrove and why an independent school education could be right for you and your family.
We hope that you'll join us and learn more from staff and students. Why are families calling and asking about Aspengrove and considering an independent school for their children?
Their reasons for looking are many and varied. Some know the difference it makes to have small classes where teachers can direct more individual attention to students and use leading-edge teaching methods that simply can’t be used in classes of 30 and often more students.
At Aspengrove School no class is larger than 22, and most are much smaller. Some want their children to experience a leading academic programme, one that will give their children an advantage heading into university or in a future career. At Aspengrove School we teach the world-renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum from junior kindergarten at age 3, all the way through to graduation in grade 12. Universities recognize the advantage of the IB. Students can even arrive there with credits already earned. The IB takes a different approach to learning. Students gain the skill and confidence to ask insightful questions, to take charge of their learning and to work collaboratively with fellow-classmates. It’s about the very skills they will need beyond graduation. Some families are looking for a school that will challenge their children and give them a chance to test their limits, both academic and beyond the classroom. They want an environment where academic success is encouraged and celebrated. At Aspengrove quite simply, it’s cool to do well. Students support each other, while also challenging themselves to do their very best. It’s part of the culture of the classrooms at Aspengrove.

“Aspengrove provides our children with a better education, without question. They have become great thinkers, always asking questions that surprise us with their thoughtfulness and depth.” - Wendy Alexander, Aspengrove Parent ---------------------------------------------------------
There are many reasons to consider an independent school like Aspengrove for your children’s education and we would love to tell you more. See what Aspengrove’s IB education has to offer your children from junior kindergarten all the way through to graduation in grade 12. Ask our students to tell you about their experience and why they are happy to go to school each day, to take on the challenges presented to them, and to work with a supportive group of staff and students. We hope that you will consider joining us! But isn’t a “Private School” expensive? We actually use the term independent, not private. People assume that private means a business that is earning money. This is true of some schools.
Aspengrove is a non-profit. We’re run by a non-profit society with a board of parents and others who oversee the school’s operations. Every parent has a voice in the operation of the school. It’s true, it isn’t free. But we’re not here to make money either. Every penny is spent on the education of your children – and is there a better investment than your children? Please don’t assume that you can’t afford Aspengrove. We have a generous bursary and financial aid program. A significant portion of our students are here thanks to the generosity of that program.
Come and learn more and see if Aspengrove can work for you and your family.
