Tanabe Inspired: Sumi Painting
This workshop is inspired by the gallery's latest exhibition, Takao Tanabe: Chronicles of Form and Place. Explore Japanese "Sumi" painting (ink-wash painting) and create your own work of art as you learn about this internationally renown artist's work (who lives right here Vancouver-Island!) Discover how Tanabe uses Sumi painting and other techniques to explore concepts like abstract expressionism and realistic representation.
