Create and trade miniature works of art!
The Campbell River Art Gallery invites artists of all ages to participate in this FREE program.
Due to the pandemic, the gallery will collect and distribute the cards randomly between artists through the mail.
To participate, drop off between one and ten ATCs at the gallery with a stamped and self-addressed envelope.
DEADLINE to drop off your cards is February 26th, 2022 at 4 pm.
The gallery is open 10 am- 5 pm Thursday and Friday and 10am-4pm on Saturdays.
Here are the guidelines for the cards:
•Cards must be original works, not photocopies
•Dimensions are 2.5 x 3.5 inches (64 mm × 89 mm), the same size as a hockey or baseball card
•Cards are intended to be traded, not bought or sold
•Experiment with painting, collage, mixed media, photography, and other 2-dimensional formats that fit within a standard envelope
•Sign your name as you would any artwork
•Artists are encouraged to add their contact information to the back of their ATCs
Artist Trading Cards have grown in popularity from their invention in 1997 by Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann to a worldwide movement. The Campbell River Art Gallery was the first location in British Columbia to host an ATC event in 1999 and is proud to continue the tradition of bringing artists together.
