"Art of Nature" Workshop at Octopus Learning

Each day has a different theme (plants, animals or fungi) and will begin with a nature walk, observing the abundance of beautiful forms of life that surround us everyday! Students will look closely at shapes, colors, patterns and the tiniest, most intricate details of the natural world. A microscope will also be available for kids to get a really up-close look at some of the smaller specimens!

They will choose one or two plants, animals or fungi to base their art projects on, and gather supplies to bring back to the classroom. Kids will then create their own nature-inspired crafts and artwork! There will be a variety of mediums to use, including clay, watercolor paint, pastels, colored pencils, modeling clay and much more. This workshop would also make a great pairing with our "Nature Scavenger Hunt" on July 27th!
