We will investigate athut / Words Bounce and explore how artists play with language through painting, installation, photography and video. After experiencing Patrick Cruz’s playful graffiti-like approach to art making, we will ink up sheets of painted cardboard and write our names using imaginative hybrid letters to create a self-portrait. Inspired by artist Joi T. Arcand, we will play with language and identity, and use photo collage, plaster bandages, balloons, and paint markers to create quirky and colourful art objects.
