Join the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria and the Gallery Associates in celebrating the 65th year of the House Tour on September 23 from 10-4 pm. A unique mix of town and country homes takes visitors from Oak Bay to Saanich to West and North Saanich on this self directed tour. Six spectacular residences will be open to the public as a major fundraiser for the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.

Everyone is invited to view the magnificent selection of unique homes. From contemporary to historic and character to passive, this diverse group of homes will have something of interest to all. And each visitor will have a list of cafes and wineries located near the tour homes to make a stop for coffee or for lunch easy.

Residents in Victoria and surrounding areas can also view the extensive art collections in homes, meet leading regional artists at work on site and admire the specially designed floral arrangements unique to each home.

Artists on location include: Andy Wooldridge, Ken Faulks, Monica Reekie, Katharine Farris, Irene Khurana and Sherry Tompalski.

Tickets cost $35 per person, the same as last year, and are available at the Gallery, 1040 Moss Street or online at aggv.ca/house-tour; Garden Works (Oak Bay, Saanich, Colwood); Dig This (Broadmead Plaza, Sidney), Munro’s Books, Ivy’s Bookshop.

Tickets for this self-directed tour sell quickly. All funds raised go toward supporting programs and operational expenses incurred by the Gallery. The Gallery Associates now number about 135, some of whom were involved with the first tour in 1953. The homes that year were all in the Oak Bay/Rockland area when tickets for the tour cost $1 each.
