Fifty artists - some of Canadas most celebrated and many who are First Nations - have taken up paintbrushes and carving tools as weapons in an artistic battle against the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline. Over a two week period in June the group of artists traveled to remote areas of the B.C. coast to paint and carve images of the rich biodiversity and integrated, ecological elements of this incredibly unique ecosystem. The resulting works are on display in this special art show with a message.
Among the artists are Robert Bateman, Robert Davidson, Carol Evans, Roy Henry Vickers, Craig Benson, Michael Svob, Mae Moore and Alison Watt.
