Christ Church Cathedral is delighted to present a family-friendly benefit concert by Victoria�s Arbutus Singers conducted by Jack Boomer as part of its new and quickly growing �Open Doors Visiting Choirs� initiative.
They�ll bring a high-energy hour of popular vocal favourites including exciting arrangements of popular music ranging from familiar chart-topping hits such as Sweet Caroline and Don�t Rain on My Parade to a brilliant Phantom of the Opera medley guaranteed to bring down the house! Arbutus concerts always attract capacity audiences, drawn by the family-friendly programs guaranteed to raise the spirits of all who come.
Arbutus has grown from 15 singers to a 6 � part mixed voice choir of 65 since its inception in 1998 under Jack�s leadership.
In addition to drawing large audiences, Arbutus performances raise substantial funds to benefit the ChoirKids after school educational program in Victoria, Esquimalt and Saanich and a wide range of social needs organizations. All proceeds from this event will go to benefit the Cathedral�s monthly meal at Our Place and Choral Scholars program
