She has received a total of eight Vancouver Island Music Award nominations. In 2007 she won Female Songwriter of the year. Her album “Sweet Embrace” also took home producer (Pat Coleman) and Engineer (Rick Salt) of the year.
In 2014 her album “Transition” received two nominations ; Roots Song and Pop/Rock Song of the year. Her music video “Moonlight Shine” was nominated for video of the year. In 2005 She won first place in the songwriting category at the Shuswap Lakes International Writers Festival. She has been fortunate in sharing the stage with great jazz musicians including Don Thompson, Pat Coleman and Phil Dwyer. She is not entirely a jazz musician though, her rock and country roots have a strong presence in her songwriting and choice of cover songs.
Her songwriting is a soulful blend of southern fried blues, jazz and country rock.
