The Castle is proud to present Jason Stevens’ one-man adaptation of this seminal classic.
A Christmas Carol has influenced the way we think about Christmas since its first publication in December of 1843, and there is no better way to experience it than in the Victorian opulence of Craigdarroch Castle. In this Charles Dickens masterpiece, bitter miser Ebenezer Scrooge is given a chance to redeem his lonely life through the visitations of the three ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.
Along the way he discovers that love, hope and a little bit of Christmas magic have the power to change not only himself, but the world. Stevens’ tour-de-force performance has received rave reviews, and is a tribute to the one-man performances staged by Dickens himself during his sold-out tours of Europe and North America.
His performance has been described as “perfect” by the Oak Bay News. Barry Bowman, well-known Victoria radio personality enthuses “To have this kind of talent, someone who can do this without lights, without props, is incredible.”
Suitable for ages 13 and up.
Tickets $20 or $18 for members and include a tour of the Castle. Available in November – online, by phone at 250.592.5323 ext 31 or in person at the Castle.
