Amanda Hale on Writing Fiction: VIU Writers on Campus Event

Amanda Hale has published three novels, two poetry chapbooks, and a collection of linked fictions set in the Cuban town of Baracoa. She is currently collaborating as librettist on Pomegranate - an opera set in ancient Pompeii. A second collection of Cuban stories is forthcoming in 2018, and in 2019 another novel – Mad Hatter – set in WWII England.
Hale began her writing career as an immigrant in 1970s Montreal where she studied playwriting at Concordia University. Learn more at www.amandahale.com .
Her presentation takes place Tuesday, October 17 from 2:30 - 3:30 pm in Building 345 Room 103. This event is generously supported by the Canada Council for the Arts. All welcome.
