Whether you're looking for new gardening ideas, unique plants, or just something different to do, the Altrusa Club welcomes you to our 8th Annual Garden Tour fundraiser.

You'll see colourful flowers, vegetable gardens, interesting water features, artwork and more. Each garden has free refreshments and door prize tickets, and also a little add-on feature as a surprise. It's fun to discover Nanaimo's different neighbourhoods.

This is a self-guided tour where you can choose your own route during a 5-hour timeframe. Each ticket comes with a map and directions. This year's 7 gardens are located between Nanaimo's Old City Quarter and the village of Lantzville. If you prefer not to drive, transportation is available, at an additional cost, through "Janie's Got a Bus" (250-714-2855 or [email protected]).

$25 tickets are available at the following businesses. Cash only please, except for GardenWorks:

All proceeds help fund local service projects that support women, children and literacy. The Altrusa Club provides educational bursaries to students of all ages, basic supplies for people in crisis, book delivery to homebound residents, and so much more! Altrusa International Nanaimo is part of a world-wide non-profit organization of volunteers. The name Altrusa is based on the word "altruism" = helping others.
