Looking for a fun project for the colder months? Starting an altered book might be for you! A mixed media project in which you will be invited to try different ways of altering a book into a work of art. From black out poetry to collage, stamping to sewing, painting to re-writing, there are truly no limits! No prior experience or artistic talent needed.
About materials: If you want to bring a specific book that you would like to alter, please feel free to do so but it is not necessary. We will supply all the materials.
About your instructor: Amélie is a registered canadian art therapist (RCAT) and a registered therapeutic counsellor (RTC). Through her work and her workshops, she loves to help others find meaningful ways to engage with their creativity. She believes in the power art can have in our lives; may it be a tool to help express ourselves, to be more mindful, to explore our curiosities and to connect with the world we live in.
