Alpine Gardeners present Jim Jermyn from Scotland

The Alpine Gardeners of Central Vancouver Island welcome Jim Jermyn to speak on "The Challenge of Growing European Alpines", Monday, May 7th, 1-3 pm (doors 12:30), at Qualicum Beach Civic Centre, 747 Jones, QB.
Jim will discuss how gardeners can successfully replicate alpine plants' native conditions, thus allowing them to grow such choice alpines as gentians, daphnes and dianthus.
Jim Jermyn is a plantsman & nurseryman, and is now head gardener & property manager at the National Trust of Scotland Branklyn Garden in Perth, Scotland. He is author of several important books including Alpine Plants of Europe: a gardener's guide & The Himalayan Garden: Growing Plants from the Roof of the World.
$10 at the door includes entry in a prize draw & coffee/tea & goodies.
