Malcolm McGregor, Saxifrage expert & UK author, speaks on "A World Full of Saxifrages". Saxifrages are found all over the world, from shady woodlands to high mountain crags & garden centres near you.
Malcolm will present a spectacular survey of the world of saxifrages from geological times to the present day in the wild and the garden. He is the author of Saxifrages (2008, Timber Press) and has been growing alpine plants for 35 years and has been a professional lecturer for over thirty years. He has travelled widely, particularly in the last fifteen years, in Europe and North America, as well as visiting Turkey, Morocco, Western Australia, the Himalayas, and Far Eastern Asia.
