All Day

The Vancouver Island Regional Library invites ports across Vancouver Island to submit poetry for consideration to our anthology "Alone but not Alone: Poetry in Isolation". Join us by beating the feeling of isolation onset by the lock down of COVID-19 while we continue to social distance for a safer world by submitting your poetry on the topic of how you are doing during the pandemic.

Are you finding new inspirations, are you angry and fearful of the future, or spending time happily with your family or in your garden? We want to hear from you and ask you to share your poetry.

Submission deadline: September 28, 2020

Notice of acceptance: October 31, 2020

To submit:

Submit up to three (3) poems and a short biography as a .DOC, .DOCX, .RTF, or a .TXT file to [email protected].

Additionally, we are seeking a cover image for the anthology and invite local amateur photographers to submit art of a natural west coast scene for consideration. To submit your photos for consideration, send your file in a .JPG format to [email protected].
