Keara moved to Ireland. She fell in love. Then she became a Stepmom….almost. A darkly comic tale about the ups and downs of becoming a stepmother. Following the SELL OUT Success of their last show (the award winning Irish play ‘The Weir’ ), Standing Room Only Theatre are debuting a WORLD PREMIERE written and performed by UVIC Theatre Graduate Keara Barnes and directed by Victoria native Michael David Stewart.

‘ALMOST A STEPMOM’ confronts both adult themes and relatable issues and resonates with a wide range of generations. It is for anyone who is part of a blended family, has lived abroad, fallen in love…or is simply growing up. Multiple characters and a murder attempt round off this tumultuous and touching solo show.
