In 1991, dancer/choreographer Veronica Maguire,and flamenco guitarist Harry Owen, co-founded a successful school of flamenco in Victoria, B.C., Canada, as well as their own touring company, Alma de España - Flamenco Dance Company.
Today, Alma de España (Soul of Spain) is recognized as one of North America’s finest Spanish dance companies. For this newest production, Veronica is joined on the stage by her son, highly acclaimed flamenco guitarist Gareth Owen, flamenco singer from Barcelona and Victoria, Juan de Marias, and flamenco dancer from Victoria, Denise Yeo.
This troupe has recently returned from a study tour in Jerez, Spain, and they have an exhilarating new line up to share with you!
