You don’t need experience – just enthusiasm – to be part of Victoria’s only intergenerational choral singing ensemble. For 18 years, the Victoria Good News Choir has been learning and performing music under the direction of Louise Rose. Today, members of the all-ages group sing special arrangements of pieces that combine the voices of young and old in extraordinary harmony.

The Choir repertoire includes a variety of cultural, spiritual, and generation pieces – from the sixteenth century to funk, rock ‘n roll, gospel, and more genres. Performances take place at many venues around Victoria throughout the year. Join the 2016 season now! No singing experience is required, and everyone from children to seniors and entire families can participate together for a fun artistic pastime. Interested new members are welcome to visit a rehearsal before joining.

Rehearsals take place on most Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cadboro Bay United Church (2625 Arbutus Road; Bus Route 11). See victoriagoodnewschoir.com for the complete season schedule.

Seasonal or semester fees for families, adults, youth, and first-time members are available on the Choir website; children under 12 years are free when accompanied by an adult member.
