All Buffleheads Day Family Festival

Join us on October 15th from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm for our Family Bufflehead Festival at the Robert Bateman Centre.
Activities will include Bird Bingo in the harbor, Spot the Bufflehead, Nature Sketch Club classes and a special Bufflehead cake!
All admission by donation! Explore the Victoria Harbour Migratory Bird Sanctuary and look for Buffleheads by taking part in a NatureSketch outing guided by a local sketch artist. All materials are provided for this outdoor adventure.
NatureSketch outing times run twice daily: 10:30 am – 11:30 am and 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm. Bufflehead cake and light refreshments will be served at 12:00 pm along with the unveiling of Robert Bateman’s latest painting – a special tribute to All Bufflehead’s Day.
A Migrations Symposium will take place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Join wildlife experts to hear, discuss and develop plans for new recommendations to ensure the Migratory Bird Sanctuaries of Victoria survive for another 100 years!
Spaces are limited so please register online. Admission is by donation all day.
