Alice's Gift is a one act musical play telling the life story of pianist Alice Herz-Sommer. Alice survived the Holocaust playing recitals in the Theresienstadt ghetto and lived to 110 years, inspiring those she met with her music and quiet wisdom.
With Lina de Guevara, actor, and Elisabeth Wagner, pianist. Directed by Kate Rubin. The play integrates the music of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and others into the story line. In the play the audience is invited into Alice's living room and given the opportunity to hear some of her stories, her music and her simple but profound wisdom. Alice had an extraordinary ability to embrace life and the people she met. We look forward to sharing her inspiring life and music with you!
